Meet Stephanie.
As an Army "brat" and born traveler, I have lived in many places around the world (i.e., South Korea, England, China, India, Qatar, Latvia and Mexico, as well as many states in the USA) and visited many more places. As an adult, I've sought new adventures in both location and jobs (as a licensed teacher, a bookseller, a concierge, a barista, a mentor, a manager, an international school counselor… just to name a few!). I've just completed my eleventh year as an international school counselor and I cannot say enough about all that I have learned and experienced. Not only do I have the opportunity to work with diverse communities and travel the world, I get to learn alongside others every day!
This portfolio was originally created to fulfill a requirement for graduation from my Master of Science Program in School Counseling. I was asked to share, in great detail, my experiences from three years of graduate classes and two year-long internships in public schools. Since then, I have removed the not-so-relevant details and I've added professional experiences. I hope that this provides a full picture of the skills and expertise that I bring to my work. And on a more personal note: I have wonderful family and friends all around the world and I love to visit art museums, drink coffee, try new foods, learn about cultures, attempt to paint and craft, read good books, and, of course, travel! |
