Career Peer Counseling Program
Centennial High School
August 2011- May 2012
As part of Portland State's School Counseling Program, each Master candidate is asked to develop an Action Research Project relevant to their work at one of two internship sites. Once a counseling intervention has been identified as worthy of research and assessment, a thorough research proposal is developed and submitted to the Human Subjects Research Review Committee (HSRRC) at Portland State University. When the project is approved by the HSRRC board, research is conducted and data collected in strict accordance to the approved proposal outline. Upon completion of research, the Master candidate completes a literature review and full analysis of the data obtained in the study.
