Job Description
- Managed the Junior Achievement and Campfire classroom programs, serving as liaison for the school.
- Partnered with Campfire to provide overnight weekend survival camps for students grades 3-5.
- Tutored students after school as part of a grant-funded project.
- Applied to, and was awarded, the Pappas Classroom Grant for needed supplies in 2001.
- Led the Hospitality Committee as Chairperson from 2000-2001.
- Collaborated with the Science Curricula Committee to select the district's new science curriculum from 1999- 2000.
- Set goals for each school year using state standards, fine-tuning as needed.
- "Looped" with self-contained fifth and sixth grade class from July 1999- June 2001.
- Taught self-contained fourth grade, as well as a gifted math class, from July 2001- June 2002.
- Taught four math, two remedial reading, and homeroom social studies classes to seventh grades from July 2004- June 2005.
- Established systems to facilitate order, efficiency, and a welcoming tone within the classroom.
- Assessed students, then adapted instruction to accommodate needs.
- Accommodated for students of diverse economic and cultural backgrounds and educational needs.
