- Implemented a comprehensive counseling program aligned to the International School Counseling Model providing guidance, individual student planning, responsive services and support to 485 students & families.
- Served as Counseling Division Lead with the addition of a new co-counselor in 2015-2016.
- Taught classroom guidance lessons bi-weekly (22 classes in 2014-15, 11 classes in 2015-16).
- Planned and co-led Counselor/Parent Coffees and parenting classes throughout the year.
- Led weekly grade-level Child Study Team meetings, including scheduling, keeping notes, and following up.
- Interpreted educational assessments and wrote file reviews.
- Counseled individuals and small groups, covering topics such as anxiety, executive functions, and self-control.
- Coordinated the student-initiated Service Learning Program for the Upper Elementary division.
- Established a transitions program for incoming and outgoing students including Student Ambassadors, Welcome Packets, New Student Lunches, and Going Away Traditions.
- Worked closely with counselors from other divisions to facilitate smooth transitions, crosswalk guidance curriculum, and ensure delivery of child protection procedures across grade levels.
- Collaborated on all-school activities including assemblies and student & specialist awards.
- Co-led the Elementary Student Council.
- Attended Professional Development classes (Executive Functions Interventions, Adaptive Classroom Leadership) and conferences (Child Protection, and American & International School Counselor Associations).
- Assisted the Admissions Office in class placement of new students and maintenance of confidential files.
- Served as a chaperone for a high school service trip to Tanzania in March 2016.
